Because the shop is so comfortable, it seems to be the mobile office for a lot of people. So getting a table can be challenging. Five Watt makes good use of their space, but as I said, people don’t move too quickly from their “spot”–headphones and laptops on tablets; everyone is in their own zone.
Regarding coffee shop etiquette, I spoke with my barista, Ash. Ash would like patrons to know that in most coffee shops they do not have anyone to bus the tables. There is normally a tub for coffee cups, dishes and eating utensils. Waste containers are provided for disposable items. Patrons are expected to dispose of their own waste. Staff should then come and wipe down tables for incoming customers. Baristas can then put their focus on making great coffee and serving the customers.
